Setting Lifecycle Policy on Legacy S3 Bucket For Logging in tvlk-prod (To Delete After 90 Days)

Background

Three S3 buckets are being used to store logs for AWS LB, CloudFront and S3 Bucket. Currently, these buckets have no lifecycle policy enabled.

To improve operational excellence by applying log retention policy, the Cloud Infra team is planning to apply S3 lifecycle policy on the following buckets:

tvlk-prod-elblogs
tvlk-prod-cloudfrontlogs
tvlk-prod-s3-logs

We will apply the following policy to the whole buckets

Expire current version of objects: After 90 days from object creation
Permanently delete previous versions: After 1 day from becoming a previous version

This action will also reduce costs for S3 buckets used to store logs.

We plan to apply this lifecycle policy on 2020-03-18T15:00:00 (UTC+7)

What do you need to do?

If your service has a requirement to store log more than 90 days please let us know so we can discuss what actions need to be done for your resources.
If your Load Balancers (CLB, ALB, NLB) still using tvlk-prod-elblogs to store logs for LB please change the LB configuration to use default-elb-logs-ap-southeast-1-715824975366 S3 bucket. This already announced 6 months ago by @Adhi (see https://tvlk.slack.com/files/T02T3CAFM/FNG2RUC7J?origin_team=T02T3CAFM)
