TAP ASG Migration
Since Ansible Tower is being decommissioned by the end of March 2020 and several tools are still in the process of migrating out from TAP, we are migrating this service from Tower based deployments to ASG.
When is this happening in production account (tvlk-prod)?
ASG migration is planned to be completed on 5th March 2020 between 9 - 10 AM SGT (GMT + 8 ).
When is this happening in tvlk-dev?
This has already been completed in February 2020.

What changes are being made?
There are a few notable changes here:
- New ALB will be created.
- Cloudflare traffic switches to new ALB on 5th March between 9 - 10 AM SGT.
- The service name changes from tap to enttap following the service naming conventions.
- There will be no change to production URL, it will continue to be at https://tap.traveloka.com/
- The traveloka-fetch-scripts folder in the monorepo won’t be deployed to the new ASG cluster anymore. What is the impact during this migration?
- During the migration period, we will apply Cloudflare changes to point to the new ASG-based ALB.
- There is no impact expected during this process as the non-ASG instances are available in the new load balancer as well.
