Migrate Legacy DNS Records to Product Domain DNS Zone

Overview

Cloud Infra identifies several legacy DNS records in the traveloka.com DNS zone that needs to be migrated to the product domain DNS zone.

Some DNS records used by internal tools; the rest is used for 3rd party integration.

To improve operational excellence and decentralize DNS management. Cloud Infra is planning to remove these DNS records from the traveloka.com DNS zone.

Teams who currently own and use the DNS records need to create new DNS records under their zone in Route53 and migrate the client to use the new endpoint.

The following DNS records need to be migrated to the product domain DNS zone.

What Do You Need To Do?

Check whether any domain listed above belong to your product.
If there are DNS records belong to your product domain, migrate the usage to a new DNS record under the product domain DNS zone.
After old DNS records not being used, acknowledge the removal of the DNS record on the Github issue listed on the Google sheet above.

Timeline

For DNS records that used as internal tools addresses, we plan to remove DNS records on

April 30th 2020.

For 3rd party integration DNS records, we plan to remove DNS records on

July 20th 2020.
