Hello,

We are writing to you today to let you know about changes which impact your use of the Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3). In efforts to best serve our customers, we have improved the systems powering the Amazon S3 API and are in the process of shutting down legacy application server capacity. We have detected access on the legacy capacity for Amazon S3 buckets that you own. The legacy capacity is no longer in service, as the DNS entry for the S3 endpoint no longer includes the IP addresses associated with it. We will be shutting down the legacy capacity and retiring the set of IP addresses fronting this capacity after February 20, 2020.

To avoid service interruptions once this old capacity is shut down, we are asking you to check your applications which might be calling the legacy systems and correct them. You may need to check your configurations to ensure they are using the Amazon S3 endpoint names instead of specific IP addresses and that you are not permanently caching DNS responses. We recommend using the published Amazon S3 endpoint DNS names to connect to Amazon S3 and to refresh DNS cache following the advertised Time to Live (TTL) in the DNS response.
You can find a list of valid endpoints for Amazon S3 here [1].

See the 'Affected resources' tab in your Personal Health Dashboard for a list of Client IPs, Host Headers and User agents if available that may help you identify applications calling the legacy systems.

If you feel this will cause any problems, please contact our Support team for further assistance [2].
