Happy new year and welcome to the year 2020. An other exciting year with new challenges :)

Year 2020 is going to witness a remarkable change in Traveloka’s payment domain history with our commitment to uplift the productivity and deliverables to support Traveloka’s entire suite of products from core payment side. We know how important role our payment products and services play in customer’s purchase journey in Traveloka. Providing a seamless payment experience with innovative products & features has always been our top most priority from day 1. We have achieved many milestones in last 7+ years of our existence and this is the time to take the experience to the next level where we should be able to roll out payment new products, features and experiments much faster than ever. To achieve that, payment team needs your support.

In the first half of this year we have our big initiative to migrate our entire payment code base from monorepo to multirepo which will help us multi-folded way to be agile and increase our engineers productivity by 48% (we have data points around this number). This will eventually help us to push more features much faster in the long run.

We need your dedicated support because

We have dependencies to your code which lies in monorepo and don't have snapshot available yet.
We also want to clean up the snapshot that we had created before and replace it with library dependency when they're ready.

Complete the dependency assessment provided in this sheet. Please put your comment whether or not you can provide replacements, snapshot, or move it to your own repo and provide library dependency that we can use. Please complete this at max by 20th January 2020.
We have done our best to assess the dependencies list from our best knowledge in the above sheet but please make sure you skim through your code base throughly to make sure there is no miss from either side. Please keep the sheet as exhaustive as possible.
In case you choose to provide snapshot or library dependency, please provide it no later than 31st January 2020.
Change snapshot dependency to our module with library dependency when they're ready. No ETA on this one, we'll broadcast it case-by-case on slack channel #multirepo-all (a private channel)

@emily is the current PIC for dependencies assessment and is the right point of contact for any team’s codebase owner.

I request all product/platform engineering leads/managers to keep this as the top most priority in your domain to make sure that we are able to serve your product payment needs smoothly post migration.
