Yass! It's Yet Another Sharing Session on microservice testing!
Main Topic: Karate Test Automation Framework
Backend engineers should develop high quality applications, one way to ensure quality is with tests. With proper testing methodologies, engineers can both verify the quality and fully understand all functionalities and behaviors of their services; it means they can develop features both fast and correct.
@jeffreywijaya, @Dennis Dao, and I will talk about Automated API Testing.
Time: Friday, December 13, 2019 @3p.m. Jakarta time.
Location: Volta (W77T1-7)
Volta's seats are limited. Therefore, if you're planning to come on-site:
Everyone can later join remotely via Zoom. The session will be recorded.
We want you to start writing and running automated API tests for your services locally after this session. With automation and local execution, we should be able to test applications early, quickly, and consistently. That being said, I know some of us have had troubles in running tests locally. We still need more researches and sharing sessions to fix the issues. I hope with the increasing awareness about the importance of testing, more backend teams can contribute to help us reach our testing vision.
N.B.:
There are plenty of testing frameworks available. Engineers can choose whatever framework that suits their team best. Our goal is to build the culture of quality, not on the framework itself
