Hello all,
We have an opportunity to provide in-depth training conducted by AWS expert on PostgreSQL for a group of Traveloka’s engineers. PostgreSQL is used by most product teams, so we believe such knowledge is critical, yet mostly lacking in our company. Increasing number of engineers that possess such knowledge should improve the quality of our products and reduce the frequency of production incidents.
After discussion with AWS, we believe an in-depth, 3-day “train-the-trainer” workshop held by AWS expert, with hands-on labs for a small group of people (max 15) would be most effective. To maximize the impact, it is best to train a group of people who are willing to form a center of technical excellence on this topic and to spread their knowledge throughout the organization and their respective product teams.

We also expect that the participants will be willing to provide guidance on PostgreSQL usage and development for Traveloka engineers.
The schedule of these workshops will be decided after we finalize the participants, with the earliest date possible in January 2020. The trial workshop will be held in Jakarta since we believe that’s where the knowledge is lacking the most.
