TPE Updates - May 2019

Hi everyone, here's our monthly update of TPE team! This summary works to keep every one of us to always be up-to-date with what's happening within the TPE. please remember to keep this info to only the internal team :)

Transport Tech
Flight

We have successfully launched multi-city feature with 5-max itineraries on both iOS and Android!
Since the dedicated deployer role has been created, Flight team is going to continue ASG migration.
Flight engineering team is now split into 2 subdomains

Demand (led by Chandra)
Supply (led by Sanjeev)

Ground Transport

Airport Transport for mWeb interface has been launched.
We have released the Bus Affiliation to production, while our partner (BRI) is still doing testing in staging.
The development for Sinar Jaya inventory is done and we are waiting for its UAT (User Acceptance Test)

Accommodation Tech

Engineering retrospective for Accommodation Epic Sale is available.
We are ready for 5-6x traffic for Lebaran on all funnels.
HDemand (TERA legacy service) has been dismantled.
The team is currently improving the algorithm for Room Mapping project. The goal of this project is to group multiple rooms of the same type with different names.
iOS search result has been migrated to MVVMI.

B2B Tech
Affiliate

Pegipegi is live as Flight affiliate

Corporate Travel

We are building a new B2B platform for corporate partners.

Central Tech
Issuance and Post-Issuance

General Refund has been launched with Flight. Planning for Ground Transport next.
10 out of 13 products have been migrated out of Tripops, left with train, ebill, and cinema.
Almost all IPI modules (except deprecated ones) have been in a separate repo.

Competitive Intelligence

The team is able to scrape flight competitor’s price on our own with a much bigger volume at a much faster speed. We do so much better compared to the previous practice with QL2 (the 3rd party).
We save cost to approximately $272,000/year due to cheaper scraping cost with internal scraper.

Quality and Release Engineering

Dashboard for hotfixes during release freeze is available.
Mobile app release will happen after lebaran release freeze. The following dates are the schedule to our v3.12.0 release:

Staging: 19 - 27 June
Release Candidate: 28 June - 1 July
iOS Submission and Android 20%: 1 July
iOS Phased Release/ Android 50%: 3 July
Release: 8 July
