Monthly Update - Aug 2018
Partners
1) Ctrip (CN):
- Ctrip is live with 100 hotels as of Sep 11. Stage roll-out was a bit delayed due to technical issue that impacted certain booking behaviour. This issue has been fixed as of Sep 11.
- Next: Monitor performance and open ~1000 hotels
2) Fliggy (CN), previously known as Alitrip, Alibaba's online travel platform:
- Legal agreement has been signed by both sides.
- Integration start date is delayed by Fliggy to end of Oct due to urgent project for their 11.11 campaign
- It may take up to 2-3 months from start of integration to going live
3) Expedia: Expedia just shared their latest agreement last week. Currently reviewing the changes and will continue negotiation
4) Ostrovok (RU):
- Signed NDA. No update from Ostrovok yet regarding the commercial agreement
- Ostrovok wants to distribute our rates to their B2B partners (which are mainly Russian travel agents) as it contributes 50% of their business. To mitigate the risk, we have added a clause to restrict distribution to certain parties determined by Traveloka and we reserve the right to stop distribution in case of violation
5) GoQuo:
- Legal agreement is signed by both parties
- Remaining tasks to go live: Waiting for GoQuo to finish hotel mapping, then will proceed to production testing
6) Hanatour (S. Korea) :
- Hanatour has a new platform project for hotel business so cannot go live with new partner until Feb 2019 when it will open.
- Will continue to discuss commercial agreement first
7) Jalan.net (JP): Has exclusivity with a supplier for outbound inventory.
8 ) Rakuten Travel (JP):
- Reached out to Rakuten's Head of Travel Division.
- They are currently upgrading their inbound platform so cannot go live with new partner until Q1/Q2 2019
9) MakeMytrip (IN):
- No new update
- Previous update: after reviewing our rates, they don't see much rate advantage from what they are getting right now. Currently putting this on-hold until we can provide them with better rates
10) HaoQiao (CN)
- HaoQioa is B2B suppliers in China mainly supplying to small-to-medium size offline travel agencies in China.
- Rate can be competitive if we source new rate plan or open existing rate plans. We are timing the launch date so we have sourced new rate plan by the time we go live.
11) JD.id: Commercial discussion is still ongoing. Zero commission period has ended in June 2018 for both Flight and Hotel
12) Angkasa Pura II (APII):
- Hotel affiliation with APII is live URL: https://travel.angkasapura2.co.id/
- APII has started using this for their internal corporate travel
- Contributed the highest weekly GBV ever by any affiliate (at ~Rp 181 mio)
- This is a proof-of-concept that we can use Affiliation tech to tap into corporate segments. Currently in discussion with Corporate team how to leverage this.
- Exploring to open EAN inventory to them as many hotels they want to purchase are Accor hotels which we don't have direct connection
- Flight affiliation integration via API is ongoing
13) Tokopedia:
- Still waiting for their update on our latest proposal
- Looking for a new primary supplier for Flight. They have mentioned some technical performance issues with their current supplier
- We have made our proposal to them: 1) Traveloka brand along the user journey, 2) Traveloka as primary supplier
- What's important for them: 1) commission % makes sense for them, 2) they own the end-to-end flight booking experience (including refund, hence requires us to provide them our Refund API).
14) Bukalapak:
- Their current flight supplier, Reservasi.com is shutting down so they are looking for a replacement supplier by Nov 2018
- Very slow response from them, have not even signed the NDA until now.
- They are likely in more advance talks with Via.com as their new supplier but is still open to connecting with Traveloka
- Regarding branding, they are okay with putting our logo in the e-ticket.
15) Shopee:
- Reached out to us for possible affiliation for all Traveloka travel products, initially Flight product, but is keen to explore smaller ticket products like A&A and Bus
- Our last PIC in Shopee has resigned and replaced by a new person, who has not been responsive to our emails. Will keep trying to get the latest update from them.
- We have made our proposal to them: 1) Traveloka brand along the user journey, 2) Traveloka as primary supplier
- Shopee is generally okay on the above, as long as the commission % makes sense for them
16) OCBC NISP:
- Planning to sell digital products in their mobile banking app, currently doing integration for Flight affiliation.
- Sent them the commercial agreement and waiting for their feedback
17) Airy:
- Airy-night is live on M-web, iOS, and Android
- Active properties in Airy increased to 5,163 from 1,728 due to more lax property requirements
- Train: Airy to connect directly to KAI
- Insurance product: Airy will direct connect with CHUBB because it takes less engineering effort and is simpler from tax / finance point of view.
18) Maybank MY: initial discussion for flight and hotel affiliation in their website and App. No new update.
19) Santika Group: no update from them after our initial discussion
20) Danamas (Sinarmas P2P Lending Arm): expressed interest to sell our flight product in their app, have started reviewing our API
21) Trivago: they have agreed that we can go live in market outside of Indonesia only. Next is to assess priority for integration compared to other metasearch
