Summary :
- User and AA team agrees to have only single list of saved items for Accommodation in general
- From user team perspective, it will be easier when someone click on the property card from the saved list, it will be directed to hotel card detail – but this is not ideal from Accommodation team perspective ; due to :
- Different funnel can have different pricing strategy for the same inventory. For example Villa 123 can cost Rp500,000 on hotel funnel, but only cost Rp450,000 on AA funnel.
- The objective of the new funnel (AA), is to maximized the information that user might needs in regards to the use case (assumption specificuse case can be better catered with certain type of properties) .
Due to concerns above, Accomm team requested user team to assess whether it is possible to include funnel type to differentiate the property card detail.
- For example, if the property is saved from AA funnel –> when user click the property card it will go to VILLA & APARTMENT property card detail
- When they bookmarked from hotel funnel –> it will go to HOTEL property card detail
3. We also discussed that recentlhy viewed might need to include funnel type as well.
- For example : If user see Villa123 from AA funnel (it will be saved on AA recently view and hotel recently view). Then user open Villa123 from HOTEL , since it will overwrite the latest recently view –> recently view on AA funnel will be deleted; which is not ideal
To do list :
- William Kho and team will assess the manweeks effort from user team (ETA 25th of January)
- User team will give timeline when it can be done from their side
- Other factor that we need to check along the way : click thru rate to the new funnel
- Ara will need to double check on funnel type to be included on recently view. (ETA : 25th of January)
