To ensure safety and security of the shared production infrastructure, we made small changes to the process of requesting and changing permissions of the Product Admin Access and Secret Manager roles in the shared production account.
As of now, only Senior Technical Product Owners (also know as heads of engineering devisions, or Senior PICs) can approve new or changes to adminsitrative access in the shared production AWS account. Current list of Senior PICs is as follows and will be updated if organizational structure changes:
As a result, we have updated our documentation on How to request Product Domain Admin access and How to request Secret Manager access. All un-resolved requests of this type have been closed with a note to re-submit the request in accordance with new guidelines.
