In regard to recent Phabricator instance ups, downs, and upgrades (July, August), which root cause is traveloka-product checkouts getting more frequent & bigger in size, the backend team has been working to enable teams to develop their applications in a fresh new git repository. We've just finished enabling services to be developed in 2 git repositories, separated from traveloka-product.
As you may have already known, the phabricator instance type is now c4.8xlarge, the biggest of the the amazon compute-optimized instance type. Vertical scaling is no longer possible, and horizontal scaling might result in challenging adventures as the official docs says. It means we might have to do this sooner or later
You can help us, and the entire traveloka backend engineering to survive the apocalypse by moving your applications to new git repositories, too.
