Cloudwatch Log Archival v0.5.1

We just released the a new version of Cloudwatch Log Archival for handling long running export.

Who is this announcement for?

All Cloudwatch Logs Archival Terraform module users with the version below v0.5.1

Why do I need this?

The previous version can not run properly if the log export process takes longer than 20 hours.

What do you need to do?

Check your step function console
Open a state machine with prefix cwl-logs-archival-*
The update is mandatory if

this month archival process failed
the last runtime takes more than 15 hours

Update your Cloudwatch Log Archival to v0.5.1

What will change?

A new version will create a new execution of step function after a certain number of iterations
One archival process can span over one execution id
