[psa] Get up-to-date Akamai Site-Shield IP using Prefix List

Hello Team,
If you’re using Akamai Site-Shield to protect public API, now you can use AWS Prefix List to keep your security group up-to-date with the list of Akamai Site-Shield IP that maintained by Cloud-Infra team.

What is AWS Prefix List?

There is similar blog post from us regarding [psa] Keep security group rules up-to-date with Prefix Lists, this post explained about AWS Prefix List, to keep your security group up-to-date with the latest set of office IP. Now you can also do the same thing to get up-to-date list of Akamai IP.

How to use this?

To get started using AWS Prefix List, please use this how-to article How to use prefix lists with security groups. You can get list of prefix list ID in that document, or by checking in your account’s VPC console.

Who should do it?

Team that’re using or planning to use Akamai Site-Shield to protect their external load balancer or public API should use AWS Prefix List to keep the security group up-to-date.

We did some search and have found some accounts are using Akamai production IP. Please find whether your account is in this list below, and start using AWS Prefix List:
