If you use SonarCloud in your source repositories, you have to upgrade your Codebuild to use Coretto JDK 11; follow this CodeBuild JDK 11 how to.

If you upgrade:

JDK 11 can be used to compile Java <= 11 codes, but in a few cases, there may be behavior changes since Java 8. The easiest way to know is to try upgrading your Codebuild. We list the issues we have encountered so far in https://29022131.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BE/pages/1384188989/List+of+Issues+-+Java+11+Upgrade. The list is most probably incomplete, so if you find a new issue please feel free to add it to the page or contact us (@ronny, @salvian).

If you don't upgrade:

You can't use SonarCloud for your repository starting from the 20th of October 2020.

Note

Codebuild upgrade is the only required upgrade for now, so you don't have to upgrade your application. Please join #java-11-discussion if you also want to upgrade your application to Java 11 too. There are still a few things in pilot stage for that.
