20200608 - Change RDS Instance Type to Reduce Cost

Hi all,

We need your help:

Please follow our recommendation to change your RDS instance type (based on data from 2020-06-05): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16wRTYkV58sQEF9JGEItUw_Q4kvio3Tl9vOs4Bn1vXZ4/edit#gid=0 -> especially if you are using instance family that is not covered by RI (example: m3 and r3)

Please closely monitor your metrics (especially latency and disk IOPS) after you change the instances or decommission replicas
Please update the status in the "Status" column -> if you already tried our recommendation and it doesn't work, please state it in the "Status" column too
