SonarCloud Access Control

Hello SonarCloud Users,

As more and more teams are using SonarCloud, we would like to introduce a new access control. The new access control will allow better user management and increase flexibility on how each team manage their SonarCloud projects.

Why?

No standard access control.
Many explicit permissions on user level which cause issues when the user left the company.
No flexibility to define custom Quality Gates and Quality Profiles.
Operational overhead on organization Owners to remediate administrative issues on project level.

Product Domain Admin Group

Each product domain will have their own product domain admin group. Each product domain can nominate their own SonarCloud admins.

The product domain admins will have access to:

Create and update Quality Gates
Create and update Quality Profiles
Administrative settings on the product domain's SonarCloud projects

What Do You Need To Do

Product Domain Admin group creation can only be done by organization Owners. So we would like to request for your assistance to provide required information to us.
