[decom] Removal of Stopped EC2 Instances in tvlk-prod

Overview

Site-Infra found a lot of EC2 instances in tvlk-prod shared account in stopped state.

Stopped instance is a potential security risk since the software installed may contain security bug and not being updated.

Stopped instance also still have a cost of the EBS volume attached to the stopped instance.

To improve security posture, and operational excellence and reduce cost site infra plan to terminate stopped instance in tvlk-prod.

What Will Happen?

Site-Infra will terminate all EC2 instances listed in the following sheet:

The removal is scheduled on:

Wednesday, May 20th 2020 15:00:00 (UTC+7)

We will remove the instance from AWS console so you will still have to update your terraform code to reflect the changes.

What Do You Need To Do?

Check the google sheet above.
If you found resource that belong to your product and it's no longer being used, decommission the instance.
If an instance is still plan to be used in the future please put comment on the Google Sheet regarding the plan for the instance and the reason why now it's in stopped state
