Akhir Januari Februari biasanya naik lagi CNY
Tapi unexpected Corona
Traffic nggak naik -> cost reduction
Prediksi 9-10 bulan stabil setelah no bonus
Karena gini, forced to adapt
- Reviewing semua projects dan roles
- Loka dan Voyager stop
- Both LOka and Voyager not applicable in social distancing and WFH lockdown, travel ban
- Not relevant anymore -> impact to our people, scaling down
- We don't like it, some still impacted
- Efficient role, trimmed down
- Some role being irrelevant because it is just passing info, not decision making, overlapping scope
- We never target specific individual
- Seeing the role and efficiency, unfortunately impacting people
- Communication on previous Tuesday, not one sided decision, personal 1-on-1 on the impacted individual, explaining the situation and proposing for the best for both side current situation
- Striving for mutual agreement
- Still follow up call to impacted people, doing obligation of laws, ensure in this difficult time, giving fair compensation for good livelihood
- Last day is 15 april, access was temporarily suspended for operational efficiency
- Should they need handover, temporarily activated
- it is common practice (?)
- All of them finally understand, some even pleasantly surprised and said how generous (proven by chatting with ilman (?))
- Treated them all fairly and respectfully
Andrew: Why decision done in short period of time? our only PM disappear
- Never seen market condition falls rapidly, quick adaptation
- Merriot also have worst condition, lost 90% across the globe, closing hotels
- Adapt to survive good times and bad times, quickly

Not relevant:
- Do things that add cost but not adding benefit > backlog
- Not doing cost optimization
- Helping customer case is relevant
- adjusting search to corona, refund, reschedule
- dont contact CS, do it yourself
FE cost optimization:
- not only cost optimization but also customer care
- all design team fully commit to customer care
- immersed and getting idea
- not only CS but putting themselves in customer shoes
- why dont we design easier?
- help customer service by having more intuitive self service
- contact with product and designer on what to do and the idea
- slowing down product
- have more efficient technical design
